Browsing Solution

The Web lets people surf and shop from the privacy of their homes, but is their activity really private?  In some cases: yes; in other cases: no.  And often the answer the this question is a big maybe.  Although the situation is slowly changing, there are few laws and regulations that apply specifically to the Internet.  ISPs, online merchants and just about any website that has been visited can collect an array of information about the user and the user's surfing habits.  Information may include the IP address, the name and location of the ISP and the domain names of sites that have been visited.

PGuardian offers the following solution to make browsing the Web truly a private experience:

PGuardian Browsing Anonymizer - This security utility hides the user's IP (Internet Protocol) address by sending a user's request to visit a Web site through a proxy server.  That way, if someone is tracking the user's activity, he will see the IP address of the proxy server rather than the one from the user's computer.  Furthermore, PGuardian's solution provides a secure tunnel between the user's computer and the proxy server (essentially and encrypted connection).  The user can still enjoy the customized surfing experience made possible by cookies and other stored personalized information by saving such information at arms length on PGuardian's server rather than on the user's own computer.  Installation of special software is not necessary.
